Franse ambassadeur: ‘terreur is terreur’.

Hij zei verder dat Frankrijk en Israël voor dezelfde taak staan: “(…) like Israel, France has a long history of being targeted by terrorists. We must find a way to protect our citizens, defeat our enemy, while preserving our principles.”

The priority is to arrest the culprits and those who helped or inspired them and to prevent similar attacks in the future. I’m grateful to the United States, to the State of Israel and to others which will enhance their cooperation with us” In één adem noemde hij: “Individuals who propagate hate and violence, be it anti-Semitic violence or anti-French violence, will be dealt with a strong hand and by all available legal means”.

Zij vervolgde: “The attacks in Paris are just the latest episode in the sequence of terror attacks – stretching from Beer Sheva, Kiryat Arba, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem – in which dark forces threaten civilization.”

I will do everything in my power to prevent the formation of a Palestinian state right in the heart of Israel.”

In VS ‘veiligheid’ weer topprioriteit

‘Republican presidential candidates vowed to take a tougher approach to Islamic State militants on Monday with Jeb Bush saying a larger troop presence is needed and Donald Trump saying he would consider closing some mosques in the United States. The impact of the Paris attacks on the US presidential campaign for the November 2016 election has been swift and powerful with national security suddenly thrust back to the top of voters’ concerns.’

The move effectively drives underground a religious, political and social movement representing the views of a sizeable portion of Israel’s 1.6 million Palestinian citizens, comprising a fifth of the population.” De mensenrechtenorganisatie Adala: ‘Adalah called it “an aggressive, draconian measure” that would “suppress a political movement that represents a large part of the Palestinian public in Israel”’.

Knessethlid en momenteel politieke leider van de Palestijnen in Israël wist op de vergaande gevolgen van de stap van de regering: ‘Ayman Odeh, leader of Joint List faction of all the Palestinian parties in the parliament, said of the move against the Islamic Movement: “This is indisputably a case of political, anti-democratic persecution that is part of the de-legitimization campaign waged by Netanyahu’s government against the country’s Arab citizens.”’
