Ultra-orthodoxe joden in Israël

1 Israël: meerderheid Orthodox in 2050?

“Majority of Jews will be Ultra-Orthodox by 2050“.

Sacred speakers: language and culture among the Haredim in Israel. New York: Berghahn Books. ISBN 978-1-84545-062-5. LCCN 2005053085. Yaakov Wise: “If current trends continue there is going to be a profound cultural and political change among British and American Jews – and it’s already well on the way. This is in spite of demographic studies which show that the non-ultra orthodox Jewish population is flat or falling”.8https://www.manchester.ac.uk/discover/news/majority-of-jews-will-be-ultra-orthodox-by-2050/ In de VS groeit het aantal ultra-orthodoxe joden sterk terwijl de groei van het overige deel van de joodse gemeenschap stagneert of zelfs terugloopt: “In an era when the Jewish population in America is stable or declining, ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jewish numbers are growing rapidly — a trend that may make the Jewish community not only more religiously observant but also more politically conservative.9University of Florida News: As Hasidic population grows, Jewish politics may shift right. 27 november 2006.
